Tips for Keeping Your Toothbrush Free From Germs

Posted .

Are you interested in having a germ-free toothbrush? If so, our dentist, Dr. Michael Danner, will be happy to give you the tips you need. Having a germ-free toothbrush can help you in many ways. It can even help you avoid getting sick over and over again. So, to help you have the germ-free toothbrush you want, our dentist encourages you to do the following things:

-Wash your hands before and after you brush your teeth.

-After you’re done brushing, rinse the brush with warm water and then place it upright in a place where it can dry.

-Don’t place a toothbrush cover that doesn’t have ventilation over the brush until the toothbrush bristles are completely dry. This is because the closed and moist environment can encourage bacteria growth.

-Use a completely dry toothbrush to clean your smile. If your toothbrush doesn’t have time to dry between brushes, you should have two toothbrushes.

-Don’t share your toothbrush with anyone, not even family members.

-Replace your toothbrush every three to four months and after you have been sick.
